About TB / Symptoms
 

TB can affect almost any part of the body and therefore symptoms are extremely varied.
The most common symptoms include:
  • Cough - lasting for more than 3 weeks
  • Coughing up coloured sputum for more than 3 weeks
  • Coughing up blood
  • Fever
  • Drenching sweats - particularly at night
  • Loss of appetite
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Fatigue.
Enlarged lymph glands can result from lymph node tuberculosis and can occur without any other symptoms.
